IS PPF WORTH IT?
The short answer is yes. However, evaluating whether the PPF is worth the investment depends on the individual and the car. PPF is worth the cost because the fundamental function of protective paint films is to preserve the quality of the underlying surface by shielding it from damaging environmental elements such as ultraviolet light, chemicals, light scratches, poisons, and road filth.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLEAR BRA AND VINYL WRAP?
You may hear of clear bra/paint protection film referred to as a wrap, as we are technically “wrapping” a vehicle; it isn’t interchangeable. Clear bra protects against rock chips, scratches, and other damage, whereas vinyl wraps are for appearance and provide very little, if any, rock chip protection.
As you can see, while they sound similar, these two options are completely different. We do not offer vehicle wraps, and we only provide clear bra. Here at Lionheart Detailing, we are more concerned about protection than appearance. CAN YOU USE PPF AND CERAMIC COATING TOGETHER?
Clear Bra does have some hydrophobic properties (repels water), and it does have UV protection. However, even good hydrophobic films can benefit from ceramic coating. Ceramic coating helps tremendously by adding that layer of UV protection, deep shine, dirt repellant making keeping your car easier to maintain.
